Kim Janey Named Boston's New Mayor
Janey was chosen as acting mayor after Marty Walsh was confirmed as U.S. Labor Secretary.
Kim Janey officially took over as Boston's new mayor late Monday night.
Janey was previously the Boston City Council president and is the first woman and first Black person to Boston's top position.
She will participate in a ceremonial oath of office today.
