This Boy Is Squeezing Lemons To Help Pay For His Adoption
Life gave Tristan Jacobson lemons and a legal guardian —his lemonade stand may have done the rest.By Katie Link | April 25, 2016
Nine-year-old Tristan Jacobson proves you’re never too young to be an entrepreneur. The Springfield, Missouri, boy made headlines after opening a lemonade stand to help cover the cost of his own adoption.
Tristan wants to become an official member of Donnie Davis’ family. Tristan was born to a teenage mom and Davis' ex-husband, but Davis and her current husband have raised the boy for most of his life.
Davis is already Tristan’s legal guardian but hasn’t been able to afford the legal fees associated with adoption. The pair set a goal to raise $5,000, and they blew right past it.
