'Moonlight' Film Gets Honest About Black Identity And Vulnerability

We sat down with actor Ashton Sanders from the upcoming film "Moonlight" to talk about some of the film's themes and his own vulnerabilities.

The hype for "Moonlight" has been growing since it debuted at the Telluride Film Festival in early September. It tells the story of Chiron during three stages of his life: childhood, young adulthood and adulthood. We spoke to Ashton Sanders, one of three actors who play Chiron, about some of the film's themes — including black identity and sexuality — and his own vulnerabilities in taking on the role.
