Sam's Club just became the latest retailer to try its hand at home grocery delivery.

The warehouse store announced Tuesday it's teaming up with delivery service Instacart to bring customers items like produce, frozen foods and even small appliances straight to their doorstep in as little as an hour.

The new service will be available in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and St. Louis to start. But the company says it hopes to expand it across the U.S. in the coming months.

The announcement from Sam's Club comes as the grocery delivery game continues to heat up.

After Amazon acquired Whole Foods last year, big grocery chains like Aldi and Kroger have partnered with Instacart to keep up with the competition.

But earlier this month, Amazon unveiled a new grocery delivery service of its own. The company added Whole Foods groceries like fresh produce and meat to its Prime Now delivery service, which sends items to a customer's door within about two hours.
