The tension from police shootings and this week's ambush on police officers in Dallas isn't just being felt in the U.S. It's even palpable to the government in the Bahamas.

On Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration issued a warning to Bahamians traveling to the U.S. It was directed specifically at Bahamian men.

The ministry said: "In particular young males are asked to exercise extreme caution in affected cities in their interactions with the police. Do not be confrontational and cooperate."

The travel advisory also urges Bahamians not to participate in demonstrations and to avoid crowds all together.
