After a monthlong investigation, Cesar Millan — aka the "dog whisperer" — is officially off the hook for a pig’s bloody ear.
If you’re not familiar with this case, here’s some background: Millan has a show on Nat Geo WILD called "Cesar 911" in which he trains unruly pups.
In an episode that aired Feb. 26, a dog Millan was working with bit the ear of a pot-bellied pig, drawing blood.
Needless to say that concerned some viewers. An online petition to take Millan off the air quickly gained thousands of signatures.
But after reviewing the clip in question "several times" authorities with the Los Angeles County animal control unit said "they were unable to find anything to charge Mr. Millan with."
Millan maintained his innocence throughout the investigation. On Monday, he said in a statement: "I am pleased but not surprised by this news. My team and I are 100% dedicated to the proper care of all animals and our animal handling procedures are safe and humane."
As for the farm pig in this case? Nat Geo WILD says it "healed quickly and showed no lasting signs of distress."
