A cowboy in Oregon lassoed a man at Wal-Mart when he suspected the man was stealing a woman's bicycle.

Yes, this really did happen, and Robert Borba really is a self-described cowboy. Borba says he hopped on his horse to intervene when he heard a woman screaming that a man stole her bike.

"Poor gal's bike that, I don't know, could have been her only transportation, and stealing ain't right. So I figured, get him stopped, you know," Borba told KOBI.

Borba told reporters the unexpected citizen's arrest happened during his trip to pick up some dog food from Wal-Mart.

"Not everyday you get to rope somebody that did something bad," Borba told the Mail Tribune.

Borba kept the man's ankles tied until police arrived. The suspect is currently being held at a county jail
