The Trump administration released more details on its plan to help farmers deal with the impact of the ongoing trade war.

On Monday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture spelled out how much money it plans to spend on various crops to help "meet the costs of disrupted markets." The plan lists more than two dozen products, including cotton, pistachios, dairy and peanut butter.

The industry getting the biggest helping hand is pork. The USDA is making nearly $600 million available to buy pig products from farmers.

In all, the government will spend more than $1.2 billion buying American crops. Beyond that, the USDA will make nearly $5 billion available for direct payments to farmers.
