Authorities in California say a UPS employee is in custody after allegedly threatening to carry out a mass shooting at a UPS facility.

According to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, the suspect was reported for sending threatening texts to his employer on Sunday. Authorities say they caught the suspect after a car chase.

Police say they found more than 20,000 rounds of handgun and rifle ammunition, numerous high-capacity magazines and various guns in the suspect's home.

The investigation is continuing but authorities say the suspect was booked for criminal threats, evading police, driving under the influence and several counts of weapons violations.
