Soon the public will be able to search the Panama Papers for specific business executives or politicians that allegedly kept shell companies.

Monday, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists is releasing a searchable database that shows the ties between the world's rich and offshore entities.

The Panama Papers — which were released at the beginning of April — are a collection of 11.5 million leaked documents from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca showing how the powerful use offshore tax havens to hide their wealth.

The database will detail the names of owners, directors or shareholders of offshore companies, the names and addresses of those offshore companies, and agencies that help run those companies.

In other words, you'll be able to see who was involved with what company.
