Ukraine's First Model In A Wheelchair Finally Gets A Runway Debut

She's trying to break down barriers in the fashion industry.

Alexandra Kutas is Ukraine's first model in a wheelchair, and she made another first at a Ukrainian fashion show. She's the first model with a disability to work the runway in her home country.

The show was a part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Kiev, and Kutas worked with Ukrainian designer Fedor Vozianov.

Kutas' super chic custom wooden chair and other creative elements she used showed she's not afraid to tackle stereotypes and see beyond her disability.

Kutas has pushed to increase acceptance for people who have disabilities, especially within the fashion industry.
