Disney announced this week that Gaston's sidekick, LeFou, is openly gay.

Disney made waves after announcing its live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast" will prominently feature an openly gay character. But in Alabama, those waves are at bay.

As of December 16th the Henagar Drive-In is under new ownership. Movies scheduled prior to that date and four weeks...

When Disney first made the announcement, Newsy's Katherine Biek reported the anticipated movie will feature an "exclusively gay moment."

"LeFou is somebody who one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston. He's confused about what he wants. It's somebody who's just realizing that he has these feelings," director Bill Condon said.
