May is prom season for teens across the country, and this year that included one of Washington, D.C.'s most famous residents: Malia Obama.

In an exclusive interview, her dad, President Barack Obama, let it slip to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that the 15-year-old attended her first prom this year. (Via Flickr / Barack Obama, Flickr / Barack Obama

RIPA: "Did she go with a boy to the prom, or was it a group of friends?"

OBAMA: "I think this is all classified information."

RIPA: "Classified."

OBAMA: "But I think it's fair to say that the first time you see your daughter in heels is a little bit ... " (Via Disney-ABC Domestic Television / "Live with Kelly and Michael")

Daily Mail notes Kelly and Michael kept pressing for details, but the president wouldn't budge, just saying he doesn't think he'd be "too intimidating" to any boy who might roll up to the White House to pick up Malia.

This news comes after the Obamas admitted to Barbara Walters last year that Malia, who is in 10th grade, is now allowed to date. (Via ABC)

Hollywood Life couldn't help but "Aww!" at the moment: "While being the president must be hard, being a father must be even more difficult."
