The suspect arrested for mailing explosive devices to high-profile Democrats and CNN last month will have his first day in a Manhattan court Tuesday.
Cesar Sayoc will appear in court in New York, after being transferred from a federal detention facility in Florida.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Sayoc is facing five separate federal charges, including illegal mailing of explosives and threats against former presidents.
If convicted, Sayoc faces nearly 50 years in prison.
