Caitlin BaldwinThe University of Southern California is facing more lawsuits over its handling of sexual harassment complaints against a former campus gynecologist.
On Monday, more than 50 students and alumni filed lawsuits against USC and former USC Doctor George Tyndall. That brings the total number of accusers suing the university and Tyndall up to 225, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The civil lawsuits claim Tyndall made lewd comments and inappropriately touched patients during exams. The suits allege USC was complicit in covering up Tyndall's conduct for years.
Tyndall was fired last year, and the U.S. Department of Education opened a federal investigation into the university in June.
