A Maui yoga instructor who went missing during a hike at a nature reserve was rescued Friday.
Thirty-five-year-old Amanda Eller was last seen hiking in the Makawao Forest Reserve on May 8. She was reported missing the next day, leading to a large search-and-rescue operation between multiple agencies.
On Friday, a rescue crew in a helicopter spotted Eller walking barefoot through a ravine and waving her arms. Rescuers soon air-lifted her to a local hospital.
Eller suffered a fractured leg and some weight loss, but overall came out of the ordeal healthy.
