Strahan's rep told People, "They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship."

In a recent interview, the TV host told Ebony he and the 46-year-old model were happy, saying, "For us, it's key that we maintain normalcy. We have a great life."

But it may not have  always been a blissful relationship. Back in 2009, The New York Post reported Strahan attached a tracking device to Murphy's car after he suspected she was cheating. Despite the unconfirmed reports, the pair stayed together.

He then took on small hosting roles for home improvement shows and commercials. In 2012 he began co-hosting with Kelly Ripa on "Live! With Kelly and Michael," which improved ratings for the show. (Via ABC)

Soon after he added another hosting role working on ABC's "Good Morning America." And those are just a couple of his latest ventures.

But Murphy is busy herself, producing and starring in VH1's hit show "Hollywood Exes."

And according to TMZ there's another issue —  Strahan lives in New York while Murphy lives in Los Angeles.

News of the split came the day before Strahan is scheduled to be inducted into the Football Hall of Fame, Saturday.

This would have been the second marriage for Murphy and the third for Stahan.
