Kim Jong-nam reportedly fell ill Monday at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia and died on his way to the hospital.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's half-brother has reportedly died in Malaysia.

CNN reports that a Selangor State police official confirmed Kim Jong-nam died after becoming sick at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Authorities say he died on his way to the hospital.

The cause of death is still unclear, but several South Korean media outlets claim he was poisoned.

Police say they are calling the incident a "sudden death" and have launched an investigation.
