House intelligence committee Chairman Devin Nunes says the Russia investigation has been "unfair," and he wants to publish documents to prove it.

On Sunday, Nunes told Fox News he wants to publish transcripts of interviews the committee has conducted — and he wants to do it before the midterms.

Nunes, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, also called on the president to declassify documents related to Bruce Ohr. Ohr is a Justice Department official whom Trump has repeatedly targeted on Twitter in the past

Nunes also echoed the president's claims that the Russia investigation is unfounded and called it "invasive."

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the committee, tweeted in response that Nunes had promised to release the transcripts before and reneged. He wrote, "We hope this time he will follow through."
