House Approves Temporary Spending Bill
The bill was approved late Thursday night by a vote of 217-185, but it may not make it through the Senate.
SHOW TRANSCRIPT

The House passed a temporary spending bill Thursday night, and it included over $5 billion for a border wall. Just hours earlier, President Trump said he would not sign any bill without that funding.

The bill, which would keep the government open until February, was approved 217-185.

The bill will now go to the Senate, which will convene at noon on Friday. Senators will then have to approve a bill by midnight to avoid a partial government shutdown.

The current bill though seems unlikely to pass the Senate, since Democrats have insisted they won't vote for any bill that funds a border wall.
