This is every parent's ultimate nightmare when taking their child to a museum.

Surveillance video from a museum in Taiwan shows a 12-year-old boy stumbled and was able to keep himself from falling — unfortunately putting a hole in a $1.5 million painting in the process.

The museum's chief conservator told the Guardian Paolo Porpora's 350-year-old work, called "Flowers," was especially fragile because of its age.

Luckily for the boy, Focus Taiwan says the exhibition's organizers are asking the insurance company, not the boy's family, to pay for the repair.

The Mirror reports the painting was on loan and will be returned to Italy once it's restored.
