Facebook is rolling out new tools to help prevent harassment on its platform.

One feature will allow users to ignore a friend request or message without blocking the person, providing the option to move a Messenger conversation out of the inbox.

It'll also recognize when a previously blocked user sets up a new account and attempts contact.

And a new facial recognition algorithm will notify users when a picture of them is uploaded, regardless of whether they're tagged.

The user can then choose to tag themselves, leave it untouched or report the photo.

The company says the privacy moves were based on feedback from users and organizations representing groups that routinely experience harassment.
