Amanda Bynes is reportedly back in rehab after publicly accusing her father of sexual abuse.

People reports the 28-year-old checked into a hospital in Los Angeles and was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold that could be extended for up to 14 days.

This due to some tweets from the actress that have since been deleted. Hollywood Life published the tweets, which claim Bynes' dad sexually abused her as a child and that he fondled himself in front of her.

The former Nickelodeon star recanted her statements, tweeting it never actually happened, blaming the "microchip" in her brain for making her say those things.

TMZ says Bynes was reportedly duped into flying into LA, where she thought she was meeting a lawyer to sue her parents, but was taken to a hospital instead.

TMZ: "You're on the road. Just get off the road, honey!"

Her mother, speaking through an attorney, denied the allegations to E!"These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment."

This will be Bynes' second rehab stint. She appeared to be on a path of recovery after spending six months in treatment last year on judge's orders for starting a fire on a driveway.

But she resumed her erratic behavior after getting arrested for DUI last week.

Bynes had been under a year-long conservatorship, which expired in August. TMZ says her parents will attempt to secure another conservatorship during her psychiatric hold.
