President Obama Just Responded To The Idea That He's Responsible For Trump's Rise
January 12, 2016
While Donald Trump continues to rise in the polls, a few critics have thrown out the idea President Obama is the reason for the billionaire's rise in politics. Critics say Obama's presidential campaign has created the need for Trump to run, and subsequently caused voters to get behind Trump's cause.
In an interview with the "Today" show, Obama tried to put those concerns to rest.
"Talk to me if he wins, then we'll have a conversation about how responsible I feel about it."
Obama went on to tell NBC's Matt Lauer, "I'm pretty confident that the overwhelming majority of Americans are looking for the kind of politics that does feed our hopes and not our fears, that does work together and doesn't try to divide us."
We'll find out soon enough. The Iowa caucus is Feb. 1. You can watch the full interview below.
