McLaren Is Selling This Super Rare, Practically New F1 Supercar
By Leah Becerra | April 29, 2016
One of the last McLaren F1 supercars ever made is for sale. Even though the cost will almost definitely be about seven to eight figures, it's free to oggle the photos.
If you can afford it, this particular McLaren — chassis No. 69 — might be one of the best deals you'll ever see.
For starters, this car was built in 1998 and has under 2,800 miles on the odometer — which is like nothing. Also, the McLaren Special Operations team has been maintaining this car, which means everything about it is still perfect.
Mark my words: Perfect. Even down to its "correct numbered McLaren F1 book and limited edition owner’s watch presented on delivery."
McLaren enthusiasts and petrolheads will also probably know this listing is a rare opportunity to own one of only 64 roadgoing F1s. That's about as collectable as you can get.
Buying this supercar is probably a bit of a stretch for most of us, but downloading the high-res photos from McLaren's site and — I don't know — setting one of them as a desktop background just feels so attainable right now.
