Kesha's Dropping Something With Zedd On Friday

April 27, 2016

Kesha and EDM producer Zedd have been teasing something over the past 24 hours — and now, that something has a name.

"True Colors" will be Kesha's first project since 2013. The singer has been locked in a legal dispute with her manager — and alleged abuser — Dr. Luke. Kesha sued Dr. Luke in 2014 to get out of her contract, but a judge denied that request earlier this year.

A judge dismissed Kesha's sexual abuse claims against Luke earlier this month, but clarified in the ruling that Kesha was free to record music even if Luke isn't present.

Kesha and Zedd hadn't previously recorded together, but Zedd offered his services to Kesha back in February saying he'd be happy to produce a song for her. On Tuesday, Kesha posted this picture and expressed her happiness with being back in the studio.

Zedd already has an album out called "True Colors," which features a song of the same name. We don't know if this upcoming project is a remix or something totally original (minus the name, of course). Whatever it is, it's been a long time coming for Kesha.
