Amy Schumer Pokes Fun At America’s Love Of Guns In This New Sketch

April 28, 2016

On Thursday night's episode of "Inside Amy Schumer," the comedian tackles U.S. gun control laws, a cause she's publicly supported since the Lafayette, Louisiana, shooting at a screening of her film "Trainwreck."

The sketch features Schumer as the host of a home shopping show. Her character sells "cute" guns to callers for the low, low price of $39.95 (free shipping and handling!).

"Let's keep these calls coming," she says. "We only have 65 million left."

The episode spoofs the so-called "gun-show loophole," a legal exception that allows unlicensed individuals to sell guns to buyers without conducting background checks first.

Schumer collaborated with anti-gun-violence organization Everytown for Gun Safety on this episode, which airs on Comedy Central tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern.
