Netflix Turned 200 Coffee Shops Into Luke's Diner From 'Gilmore Girls' — And Fans Freaked OutOctober 5, 2016
"I need caffeine — whatever form you've got. I haven't had any all day. I'll drink it, shoot it, eat it, snort it, whatever form it's in. Gimme!" — Lorelai Gilmore
"Gilmore Girls" turned 16 on Wednesday, and in honor of the show's upcoming reboot, Netflix turned hundreds of coffee shops into real-life versions of the famed Luke's Diner from the show.
And of course, fans freaked out. They lined up in the wee morning hours to pose for photos and get a sip of java from Luke's.
Not everyone got to enjoy it, though.
The FOMO was so real, especially considering Luke himself, Scott Patterson, showed up at one of the diner locations — in a flannel and a baseball cap, of course.
The "Gilmore Girls" revival hits Netflix on Nov. 25.
