President Obama called a 3:30 (EST) press conference to announce he and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani actually had a conversation on the phone. The story was originally (and assumedly) leaked by whoever the it is that runs Rouhani's Twitter account. The tweet revealed that moments before the press conference, there had been a phone conversation between the two countries' leaders.
The tweet has since been deleted and presumably an Iranian social media editor has been fired.
