Former news anchor and reporter for KMBC-TV joins multi-source video news analysis service
Columbia, MO (PRWEB) March 24, 2010 -- Newsy.com, the multi-source video news analysis service, has hired Jim Flink, former news anchor and reporter for KMBC-TV (Hearst), as vice president of news operations.

Flink join Newsy.com after 20 years of television news experience, most recently with KMBC-TV in Kansas City. He has received a regional Emmy Award for spot news coverage and his work has been featured on "Larry King Live," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," CNN, BBC and NBC-Mutual Radio.
In addition, Flink's overseas experience includes work with the Korean Broadcasting System, the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), journalists in developing countries and teaching peers and students in the Philippines.
Flink has served as an adjunct professor at University of Missouri-Kansas City, Park University and Avila University. He received his B.A. in political science from Westminster College, and his M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
The weekend of April 24, 2010, Flink will be awarded the Alumni Achievement Award from Westminster College. The award recognizes individual achievement in his or her field of endeavor and is considered one of the highest honors Westminster can confer on an alumnus.
