I don't think this will catch on and become a continually popular event. What I take out of this is the power that digital media is having on the world. Everyone everywhere is now connected together with the tools we have.

I also don't think this can hurt the symphony 'industry'. What better way to target a younger generation than by going to where they spend all their time: online.

Even if this was just simply a publicity stunt, atleast it was a publicity stunt done creatively and served a purpose.

I actually think this is a cool story... but I'm not sure that it's going to attract a bigger audience. I feel like it was more of a "one time thing" and will eventually lose momentum.

I don't see this having much longevity. The story's cool, but I doubt the finished project is any better than most symphonies. Furthermore, symphonies appeal more to an older demographic than most people using YouTube.
