KSL-TV reports Sheena Herschbach was living with then-boyfriend Jason Greniger in Minnesota until they broke up in 2012. She moved to California immediately after — but police say he was able to track her down.

Authorities say Greniger took Herschbach from her home to bring her back to Minnesota. But they instead ended up in a motel in Mesquite, Nev., where they stayed in isolation for the next six months.

"According to the police report, he would only let Sheena Herschbach go out occasionally to the grocery store. He threatened to kill her or her children if she didn't come back." (Via KSNV)

Herschbach says she was terrified to disobey her captor until Saturday, when he let her go to a public library by herself.

She found a computer there and was able to write a plea for help and her exact location on her Facebook page, which had reportedly been inactive since June. (Via KOLO)

Mesquite police say someone tipped them off about the post later that day, and officers went to the motel, where they arrested Greniger.

He is now under investigation for second-degree felony kidnapping because police believe he kept Herschbach in an abusive relationship against her will. (Via WECT)

Greniger is being held without bail on an outstanding warrant from Minnesota — the details of that warrant are unclear at this time. He's scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
