After more than a thousand days of incarceration and just 12 days after being acquitted of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Casey Anthony has been released from jail.

ANCHOR, NECN:“Casey Anthony is a free woman. The 25-year-old walked out of an Orlando jail at 12:14 this morning. …Her release happened quickly and it was uneventful. She was given $537 from her jail account and was escorted by two armed sheriffs deputies to an SUV waiting outside. The only words spoken: A quiet ‘thank you’ from Anthony to one of those deputies.”

The three years she spent behind bars - and good behavior - counted as time served for her four convictions of lying to authorities.

So now what?

Anthony’s trial has been compared to those of OJ Simpson, Mary Winkler, and even Michael Jackson -- all highly publicized trials, all leaving the public -- divided. (Video: Fox News)

And on the outside -- one of the biggest concerns is Anthony’s personal safety.

A so-called lookalike was allegedly attacked in Oklahoma - and others named Casey Anthony have reported similar harassment.

One Orlando attorney tells The Daily Beast...

“I absolutely do think she is in danger. I also think people need to follow the law and boycott her and anything that puts a dime in her pocket. She needs to be shunned and not supported in any way. But, that said, some people are so outraged here I firmly believe she is in physical danger.”

Prior to her release, Orange County officials said they would not be providing any special protection for Anthony unless a quote- “credible” threat presented itself. (Video: NBC)

Another big question -- is whether Anthony will cash in on her story.

One producer who’s worked with Jerry Springer tells HLN -- he’s already offered her a million dollars for an exclusive interview.

AL TAYLOR, FREELANCE PRODUCER: “I talked to Jose Baez a week ago on behalf of a talk show, made him an offer because I'm a freelance producer. The talk show backed out of it, as we know, The Jerry Springer Show got scared, so I figured the only way this is gonna happen is if I form my own company. I formed my own production company, Private Elevator productions. That’s a legitimate check and a legitimate offer.”

But Anthony’s legal troubles aren’t over yet, with a growing list of civil suits on her heels.

The local sheriffs department is reportedly trying to make Anthony cover the cost of the investigation -- and other parties have made similar moves.

CASEY STEGALL, FOX NEWS:“The largest lawsuit, the defamation suit involving Zaneida Gonzalez. A lot of people came to know her as ‘Zanny the Nanny’ during the criminal proceedings, the one Casey Anthony alleged kidnapped Caylee when she was missing for that 31 days back in 2008.”

Finally -- the defense attorney who represented convicted wife-killer Scott Peterson says -- Anthony just needs to just wait all this out.

“The public has a very short memory, and if she waits an appropriate period of time, people will move on to the next scandal du jour and she'll probably be able to build a life for herself sooner than she thinks ... I've seen too many so-called 'trials of the century' that happen biannually.” (CNN)

Anthony is due back in court October 8th for a hearing related to the Gonzalez defamation case.
