The Westboro Baptist Church has announced its plans to picket the funerals of the children murdered in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

The group is known for protesting at military funerals, and blaming the deaths of soldiers on what it calls the military’s tolerance of homosexual service members. Why the picket the Sandy Hook funerals?

According to one member’s twitter account, the group hopes “to sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment.”

The group says God sent the shooter.

But another infamous group isn’t letting this one go. Joe.IE notes...

“...hackers from Anonymous made their way into the ‘secure’ Westboro Baptist Church and posted the personal and professional information of everyone from the church.”

The information posted includes the names, email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, family member’s names, birth dates and even the employers of the members of Westboro Baptist Church. And now all who care to, can call and make their opinions heard.

Someone claiming to represent Anonymous wrote The Inquisitr after news of the hack broke, writing…

“Freedom of speech is one thing. But freedom to hate is another.”

According to the Inquisitr, the Westboro Baptist Church’s announcement mirrors those made after the Aurora, Colo. movie theater shooting in this summer. However, after counter-protesters had prepared, the church members never showed up.
