The death toll from typhoon Bopha has continued to rise, prompting the Philippine president to declare a state of “national calamity.” Euronews has more.

"The death toll stands at nearly 400, two days after Typhoon Bopha raged across the southern Phillipines. THough, this is expected to rise sharply in the valley alone, around 600 are still missing."
