A massive winter storm threatens to derail holiday travel for people in at least half a dozen states. CNN has more on the blizzard warnings.

“Colorado has already been clobbered. a 156-mile stretch of Interstate 70 had to be shut down in both directions yesterday. … also hitting Iowa hard overnight, packing wind gusts of over 50 miles an hour … ”

Just as negotiations appeared to be coming closer to a deal, the fiscal cliff talks seem to have stalled again. Here’s Fox Business.

“The House is just hours away here from voting on Speaker Boehner’s ‘Plan B’ to avoid the fiscal cliff. But the White House, well, they’re already threatening a veto.”

The fallout continues after the Benghazi consulate attack. Al Jazeera explains.

“The U.S. state department’s security chief has resigned following a report into the attacks on its consulate in Libya on September the 11th. Three other officials have been relieved of their duties.”

And the 2012 Miss Universe pageant was held last night. Here’s MSNBC.

“Out of 89 countries, the winner was Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, from Rhode Island. The first American to win the title in 15 years.”
