LATIOUSHA SMITH: "He was like, 'You know, I just want to come and pay someone's balance.' And I was like, 'OK, so what's your student's name?'"

RYAN COX: "I said, 'Well, I have a few nephews who go there, but their accounts aren't delinquent. I just want to pay random accounts.'"

On his blog, Cox explained the inspiration behind his good deed. Earlier, he had learned kids weren't eating lunch because they were too embarrassed to eat the lunch given to kids with no money in their accounts.

After reaching out to people on social media, Cox was able to come up with the $1,200 needed to cover every student's overdue balance at Lakeside Elementary School.

On the day of, Jamzen swapped her hospital gown for a gold dress, thinking she was going to be taking photos with her grandfather. Little did she know her mom and her date had teamed up to bring the prom to her.

Eight-year-old Logan had been called out to participate in a halftime contest during Monday night's game.

"It worked out perfectly, and I didn't expect that much of a reaction from him. But it was good."
