Britain’s The Sun is reporting that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s divorce is close to being finalized, and that the jaw-dropping settlement is going to make this the biggest celebrity divorce in history. There are also some strange stipulations.

The Sun says the settlement gives Nordegren $750 million. The previous celeb divorce record pales in comparison: Michael Jordan gave his wife $150 million. Woods and Nordegren had a pre-nup, but this big sum is apparently in exchange for her silence: Nordegren can never speak about her life with Woods to the public. On Fox News, a divorce lawyer says Nordegren must know some dirt, and that Woods must be wealthier than we all thought.

VIKKI ZIEGLER: “There must be some serious secrets that he does not want Elin to tell. ... We had initially thought he was probably worth $1 billion, but nobody willingly gives up more than half of their fortune. So, he’s probably worth over $1 billion, and decided this makes the most economic sense now  to keep her quiet for life  and he knows he’ll be earning a lot more in the future.”

But does Nordegren deserve that much dough? A writer for The Dayton Daily News says yes.

“She wasn’t the one out there collecting green jackets, but Tiger did embarrass her for life by rolling around with all of those fleas.”

And there are some unusual arrangements. Woods is not allowed to introduce a woman to his children unless he marries that woman. The Stir says that isn’t fair.

“It just seems a tad controlling. …maybe he dates a woman for five years ... Sorry, can't meet the kids. I… can empathize with a mom who… doesn't want another woman in her kids' lives. But that's life. That's divorce.”

Nordegren gets sole physical custody of their children, though Woods shares legal custody, so he will have a say in big life decisions for the kids. The Sun reports that he’ll be able to see them for up to half of every week, but a source isn’t sure he’ll bother.

“‘She [Elin] is confident he will not pursue seeing the children that much, due to his work and lifestyle.’”

Radar Online reports that Woods did miss his daughter’s birthday a few weeks ago for work. NBC’s Philadelphia affiliate, WCAU, caught up with Woods at the AT&T National ProAm, and seems skeptical about his focus.

TIGER WOODS: “Certainly there are still distractions. It is what it is. I think everyone has had distractions in their lives. ...”

JUSTIN PIZZI: “Very few people, in fact no one has a distraction that is $750 million big.”

What do you think? Does Nordegren deserve that much money? How do you feel about the stipulations of the divorce?
