And these photos show Hurricane Patricia from space. It's the most powerful hurricane ever measured in the Western Hemisphere.

The Category 5 hurricane has sustained winds of around 200 miles per hour. (Video via Univision)

It's also being compared to Typhoon Haiyan, a Category 5 hurricane that devastated the Philippines in 2013.
