The US Teen Birth Rate Dropped 61 Percent Since 1991

The birth rate for 15- to 19-year-olds has hit a record low.

U.S. teen births just hit a record low: The teen birth rate has dropped 61 percent since 1991.

Every state saw a decline, though some — like Colorado, Massachusetts and Connecticut — dropped more dramatically than others.
