Tim Tebow’s on the trading block — and according to a family friend, he wants to go back to where Tebow-mania began.

“In all honesty, Tim said, ‘You know, I miss home, I miss the South, and hopefully I’ll land somewhere in Florida.”

A sunshine state reunion? ESPN’s Merril Hoge says — sure, why not?

Kevin: “Give me one team. Best fit?”

Merril: “Well, I still think it's somewhere in Florida. Jacksonville, Miami.”

Kevin: “Maybe even Tampa.”

So three teams are in the mix— but which one fits? Pro Football Weekly thinks the Jacksonville Jaguars could swap QB’s.

“Hey, why not a Gabbert for Tebow trade? You can have Gabbert back up Manning in Denver, he’d need a couple years to progress. Could be interesting, I’ll just throw it out there, why not?"

The Jags could use an attendance boost — and while a Palm Beach Post writer thinks the Dolphins could too — he says Tebow wouldn’t fit in Miami’s new offense:

“It requires quick, accurate passes getting the ball out quickly, putting it right on the money, and that’s the exact opposite of what Tim Tebow does. So he wouldn’t be a good fit."

As for Tebow-to-Tampa, the Sunshine State News’ Nancy Smith says it works just fine.

“Good fit for Tebow, even if he would have to back up Josh Freeman … Tampa Bay also isn't too much farther from Gainesville than Jacksonville, so the Gator fans would swarm.”

Now this assumes anyone trades for Tebow at all. NFL Network’s Joey Porter says he’d pass on what he termed a one-year-wonder.

“Something they bought into that year just worked for ‘em good. I think the defense played real good, they all gathered around him and won games. I don’t think he can take that same way of offense to another team and be successful.”

Speaking of Tebow’s preferred teams — Jacksonville and Miami have both signed a quarterback this offseason.
