Drama, tears and booing. There was shock on the set of X Factor when 13-year-old Rachel Crow was eliminated Thursday night. Judge Nicole Scherzinger refused to vote-- resulting in a deadlock that let America make the final call.

A blogger for The Washington Post says Nicole should have done her judging duty-- but she may have actually done Crow a favor in the long run.

“Rachel will realize how lucky she is to get out of her X-commitments and one step closer to being free to go out and sign a deal to become the next Disney kid star.”

And a writer for entertainment blog Sandra Rose adds--  the show’s drama is overpowering the talent.

“Rachel’s dramatic crying act was almost completely devoid of actual tears. But the worst actress award of the night goes to judge Nicole Scherzinger … it’s your job to make the decision! That’s why you were picked as a judge!”

This isn’t the first time Scherzinger has faced critic and fan fury. She and fellow judge Paula Abdul have even received death threats after previous eliminations.

Contestant Marcus Canty-- who survived the elimination-- tells Hollyscoop, come on guys-- it’s just a talent show.

The four remaining contestants will compete next week in the semifinals.
