Nah! He’s not dirty. Heck, he didnt even do it!
That’s what Ndamukong Suh is saying after television cameras caught what appeared to be a cleat stomp.
In case you missed it here’s MSNBC.
“Suh not in a giving mood. Got tangled up with Evan Dietrich-Smith, nearly twisted his head off. Then as he’s getting up Suh stomping on the arm. Just another reason people are calling Suh the dirtiest player in the league.”
According to Suh, he’s not the dirtiest player in the league, and he didn’t mean to do it.
After the game he told reporters, ‘I was just tyring to get up, man.’
Suh: “Why you see me pushing his helmet into the ground because I am trying to remove myself from the situation. As I’m getting up I’m getting pushed, so I’m getting myself on balance and getting myself out of the situation.”
Reporter: “So you didn’t intentionally step on him?”
Suh: “Not by any means. I understand in this world, because of the type of player and person I am all eyes are on me. So why would I do something to jeopardize myself and jeopardize my team? So with that, that why I don’t do bad things, and I have no intention to hurt someone. If I want to hurt him, I’m going to hit his quarterback.”
To which a writer for the Los Angeles says - come on now - we all saw it.
“Right. He was balancing himself. I always stomp hard with my right foot when I'm trying to balance myself. Quick motions are great for balancing yourself.”
The Hall of Famers on the NFL network debated the play - and everyone except Marshall Faulk - who said maybe there was more we didn’t see - agreed Suh was bush league and deserves at least a two game suspension.
Deion Sanders goes one step further, saying Suh needs to realize playing on Thanksgiving should be special.
“That’s ridiculous. That’s flat out ridiculous. I think he is delusional.”
“This is a gift. We are getting handsomely paid, taken out of the inner cities in some of our upbringings to play a game? A childish game - getting paid millions of dollars and this is how we return the favor to the game. That’s delusional. Somebody outside of sports needs to talk to him.”
