Many have tried to copy Steve Jobs’ creativity but now fans are also looking to steal his signature style. KSTP reports, fans can’t get enough of Jobs’ favorite mock turtleneck by Minnesota company St. Croix.
“St. Croix Clothing tells us they saw an immediate response after Jobs’ death Wednesday. Online sales are up almost 100%.”

According to MSNBC, Jobs bought about two dozen of the $175 black turtlenecks every year and would occasionally call the clothing company’s founder to say how much he liked the sweater. So, new fashion trend? A blogger from GQ weighs in.
“As I sit here, reading on my iMac, sending tweets on my MacBook, and listening to the intermittent iPhone vibrations on my desk, I can't help but think that Jobs has pretty much impacted every sector of our lives, so why not this?”
But some find the turtleneck twinning. Opinion blog SodaHead asked people to weigh in on whether the copycatting was quote “comfy or creepy.” Several readers sounded off.
One writes... “Yes, it is a bit creepy that people are now obsessively buying the same turtlenecks from the same place just because he died. You didn't see them doing so when he was alive.”
While another says... “How pathetic is that? You can't become Steve Jobs by wearing his favorite clothes.”
But love it or hate it, ABC notes that the style reflects ideals out of which Jobs made his incredible career.
“The simple, clean lines seen in his wardrobe reflected the same simplicity and monochromatic look that became a hallmark of the Apple products.”
In honor of Jobs, St. Croix announced that it will donate $20 to The American Cancer Society for each black turtleneck sold.
