Private in life, now very public in death. Steve Jobs’ bio has hit the media.

In it he talks about President Obama, alternative medicine, and bucking the system.

MSNBC's Morning Joe describes the content of the book,

“‘This may sound silly, but the entire book is new. Everything in it is new. All the details of how Steve Jobs runs the company, his relationships with his friends and family, how the company works -- it’s all new. It’s gonna be something everyone is going to read. […] I think it is going to be like a Harry Potter kind of book."

Among those to get first look:  The Huffington Post, the New York Times, the Associated Press and CBS News.

The Huffington Post reports, Jobs gave U.S President Barack Obama zero slack about his presidency.

‘“You are headed for a one-term presidency,’ he told Obama at the start of their first meeting, insisting that the administration needed to be more business friendly.”

The New York Times and AP focused on how Jobs avoided traditional western surgery, instead opting for alternative treatments, infuriating family and friends.  The New York Times quotes former Intel head Andrew Grove...

“Andrew Grove, [...] told Mr. Jobs that diets and acupuncture were not a cure for his cancer. ‘I told him he was crazy,’ he said.”

In the book, Jobs also recalls his unknowing encounter with his dad, Abdulfattah John Jandali. Apparently, Jobs ate at his father’s restaurant, which was famous in Silicon Valley. His sister Mona Simpson told him Jandali was his father.

CBS News quotes Jobs,

“...I learned a little bit about him and I didn't like what I learned. I asked her to not tell him that we ever met...not tell him anything about me."

There were other interesting accounts in the book, like Jobs frustration with Google’s Andriod operating system, which Jobs believed was an iOS ripoff. The BBC reports:

“Steve Jobs said he wanted to destroy Android and would spend all of Apple's money and his dying breath if that is what it took to do so [...] Mr Jobs said, ‘[...] I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.’”

The book was originally called “iSteve” and was scheduled to be released in March 2012. The date was moved up after Jobs’s death.
