The new Apple name -- ‘Siri’ -- appears to have a bit of a hidden past.
GizmoCrunch exposed its naughty history;
“Siri was a sex toy before becoming an iPhone 4S app … Here's the backstory, a year earlier (2010) Lelo released a pleasure object with the very same name, the Lelo Siri. Coincidentally, when it was launched the folks over at Vibrators.com dubbed it "perfect" too and it apparently continues to be a favorite product at the site.”
After the iPhone 4S’s launch earlier this month the voice activated Siri stole the show. The app is a personal digital assistant, which dominated the first IPhone 4S commercials;
Sources like the Indianapolis Star have complimented the voice activated Siri as a ‘Smart and Saucy Pal’.
“It's turning into a new -- sometimes sassy, often entertaining -- digital friend.”
But for spoofers, Siri’s previous work in the sex toy industry has brought a whole new meaning to those words.
A new spoof ad has gone viral, ‘reintroducing’ the voice activated personal assistant;
“New text message from Bobby Chang. Still want to come over and watch TV tonight.
Reply sorry I’m washing my hair.”
Perhaps Gizmodo wasn’t far off the truth when it admired the intelligent assistant app saying;
“The iPhone 4S’s Siriis sassyand she’s everybody’s new favorite toy”
