Her name is Jackie Evancho, and she’s the latest singing sensation to take the nation by storm.  Featured on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, the 10-year-old from Pittsburg, PA, with the voice of an angel she has become a YouTube star too, with more than FOUR MILLION HITS.  But is she a shoe-in to win the NBC reality show?  (Video: NBC)

We’re analyzing coverage from NBC, The Star-Ledger, the L.A. Times and Wonderwall.

Amazing.  Spectacular.  A star in the making.  Rave reviews have rolled in from all across the country.  And even those who might find a fault or two, like The Star-Ledger say, that’s about all you can do -- find a minor glitch.

“She's only 10 years old and she has the voice, and the poise, of a seasoned stage performer. Once again, she dazzled the crowd last night, with a tremendous rendition of an Italian opera song ("Time to Say Goodbye" ?) She was terrific, even though she was a bit off-key on the last couple of notes.”

The L.A. Times notes -- there’s something about spectacular talent that brings out the doubters -- the haters -- in some people.  Which is a shame... because this talent is quite real and genuine.

“...the Internet was alight with people insisting the young girl was lip-syncing. The rumor mill was running at such a furious pace that on the next evening's results show judge Howie Mandel asked Evancho to sing a few notes on her own to prove it was really her voice that audiences were hearing...”

As if to make that point again -- judge Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan say -- this is why the show exists.

"Unbelieveable.  I’ve never witnessed something like this.  And heard something like this. There aren’t even words to describe and I’m so happy that I could be here to witness and hear it. People watching at home, this is a great moment. ... I’ve judge thousands of acts.  Many of them terrible.  A lot of them very good. We found some big stars.  And tonight we have had four or five acts that absolutely have the potential to be stars.  But in you, we have got in you a superstar.”

But MSN’s entertainment destination Wonderwall says, Jackie E is no shoe-in to win America’s Got Talent.  Other acts have it too.

“Is there any doubt Fighting Gravity will make the Top 10 of America’s Got Talent’? We don't think there is -- they got a standing ovation from the audience and ‘heaps of praise from the judges’ … conventional wisdom might say it'll come down to a final 2 fight between Fighting Gravity and 10-year-old opera singer Jackie Evancho.”

We’ll leave you with more of Jackie Evancho’s latest performance on America’s Got Talent..
