Who killed Michael Jackson? That’s the questions jurors are tasked with answering in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray. Here’s E! News.

KEN BAKER: “More than two years since the tragic death of Michael Jackson, his personal physician is now facing the music in the King of Pop’s death. He’s charged with involuntary manslaughter and has pleaded not guilty.”

ABC runs through the shocking evidence -- a recording of an allegedly drugged up Michael a month before he died -- that kicked off the trial.

JIM AVILA: “He makes a voice memo on his doctor’s iPhone. The words seem to be a pep talk about his upcoming final tour, but they are nearly unintelligible.”
MICHAEL JACKSON: “I want them to say, ‘I’ve never seen nothing like this in my life. Go. Go.’”

Many are asking why Murray would record Jackson in such an incoherent state. Discovery’s Criminal Report suggests that’s pretty damning evidence.

“…it seems abundantly clear that this ‘doctor’ knew -- all too well -- how much he was harming MJ with high doses of prescription drugs added to the ‘milk’ MJ allegedly requested. To argue that MJ injected himself with Propofol -- as the defense wants the jury to believe -- is ludicrous.”

But a legal expert on CNN analyzes the doctor’s defense, reminding people -- Murray’s still innocent until proven guilty.

PAUL CALLAN: “If in the end the jury likes Dr. Murray and, if in the end, the jury says, you know, a celebrity like Michael Jackson has the ability to go out, hire any doctor he wants -- and these celebrities, they have hangers on, they spend a lot of money, and if it wasn’t Murray, wouldn’t it be somebody else giving drugs, as had been done in the past, to Michael Jackson? So is it fair to single out Murray, and convict him of murder?”

But, Today Show medical expert Nancy Snyderman argues Murray has to prove more than innocence here. He has to show competence.

NANCY SNYDERMAN: “He’s incompetent for one huge reason -- while giving Propofol, he left the patient’s bedside and then when the patient arrested, did not put that body on a hard surface and could do a thorough CPR. From those two points, absolutely incompetent.”
