The “winning” actor is at it again. Charlie Sheen has moved on from his “Two and a Half Men” role and is going to anger management--the show. (NBC)
“Warlocks of the world, listen up -- your new leader has a new job. Charlie Sheen is developing a new TV plot "Anger Management." The sitcom based on the 2003 movie, Lionsgate will distribute the new stories, no network announcement yet.”
The pilot aims to feature Sheen in a much different light than in any of his older roles
His new character is inspired by Jack Nicholson’s volatile “Anger Management” character. Although the sitcom hasn’t been picked up by a television network, CBS reports Sheen is excited about his new gig.
"In a statement, Sheen said, 'I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept.'"
A great concept is one thing, but Fox News reports everything else is falling in place for the self-proclaimed warlock.
“[The sitcom] will afford him 'a certain amount of creative control' and the opportunity to work with producer Joe Roth, with whom he worked on the movies 'Major League' and 'Young Guns,' the report said."
New York Daily news elaborated on the perks of Sheen’s new deal will producer Lionsgate, saying besides creative control...
“As part of the package, Sheen will get a "significant ownership stake" in the show..."
