Coverage of divorce proceedings between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver was broken up this week when their youngest son, Christopher, was hurt in a boogie boarding accident.
“Thirteen year old Christopher Schwarzenegger crashed face first into an object at a Malibu Beach this past week he was taken to the hospital and reportedly he suffered broken bones and a collapsed lung. Shriver made the 911 call."
“And as far as you know, is he awake and breathing?”
“Yeah, He’s awake and breathing. I just ... He can’t move. He’s having trouble breathing."
The estranged couple has had a tumultuous year after Arnold’s admission of an affair and a lovechild. The latest reports say the former Governator is denying Shriver spousal support -- and a reporter for ABC says, Christopher’s accident falls at an awkward time for the two.
“Bad timing then that Schwarzenegger’s lawyers should choose this of all weeks to file his response to Shriver’s divorce papers asking the court to deny Shriver spousal support and indicating she will have to pay her own attorney fees."
But TMZ reports -- Schwarzenegger has backtracked on the support issue -- saying, he signed the papers without actually reading them...
“...partly because he was dealing with ... Christopher's boogie boarding accident ... and partly because he relied on his lawyer. ... Hopefully, the revised papers will make things right."
And while his parents’ drama continues, E! News reports -- Christopher is doing well.
“While it has been a very scary week. Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery."
